Opal - Keeping in the "Loop"
Opal had grown through acquisition and had many different legacy intranets in place. As a result they were struggling to keep all 1,000 staff members equally informed and up-to-date. Opal wanted an intranet that was easy to use and access, would ensure all staff were 'in the know', and encourage collaboration and communication.

Dolphin wanted to move away from the typical corporate-style intranet. Using the very latest Web 2.0 technology, a social network oriented 'Facebook style' site was developed. Avoiding the need for a complex content management system, 'Loop' makes it easy for staff to share and manage their information using Wiki-based technology similar to Wikipedia. As well as having access to up-to-date company information, staff have their own personalised profile within the site. They can create colleague groups, add pictures, socialise and share knowledge with their peers.

"Dolphin have helped us totally transform our internal communications. We couldn't have asked for a better result!"
Jason Leach, Employee Engagement Manager, Opal.
